As someone who experienced her menstrual cycle (period) unpredictably, Ella understood the need for swimwear that offered both comfort and security-especially for these unexpected moments when a period arrives at the most inconvenient times. Recognising that many people face similar challenges, she set out on a mission to create a solution for herself and anyone who yearns to enjoy their time in the water without worry.
Thus, OzBod was born-an inclusive brand designed with a few staple styles and colours of bikini briefs that are not only comfortable and secure but also sustainable.

Meet Ella
Hi, my name is Ella. I am a swimmer, a daughter, a friend, and someone who loves being active and having fun in the water. Swimming makes me feel strong, happy, and free.
I also have an intellectual disability. Sometimes I need a little extra support or assistance, and that is okay. It is just one part of who I am.
Like many girls and women, I get my period. Sometimes it comes when I am not expecting it. That can make me feel worried about swimming. I did not want to miss out on the things I love because I felt unsure or uncomfortable.
I wanted swimwear that feels safe, comfortable, and secure. I wanted to feel confident in the water. When I could not find something that worked for me, we decided to create it.
OzBod was made so people like me — and anyone who needs a little extra support — can enjoy swimming without worry. We are all people first. We are all individuals, and our body shapes are individual too. Every body is different, and that is something to celebrate. That is why we focus on bikini briefs. You can wear them on their own as your bikini, or you can wear them under your favourite colour or style of bikini. This gives you choice, comfort, and confidence in a way that works best for you.
